We often get asked by our clients which is the best race meeting to attend each year. Firstly we would advise to check the best location for your clients, after all there is no point buying a box at the Goodwood Festival if all your clients are based in the north of England.
Some of the major meetings each year are below:
1 Cheltenham Festival: Held annually in March at Cheltenham Racecourse, this festival is a highlight of the National Hunt racing season, featuring top-class jump racing. Friday is when the Gold Cup is run which is the biggest race of the festival.
2 Royal Ascot: Taking place in June at Ascot Racecourse, Royal Ascot is not only a significant racing event but also a social and fashion spectacle attended by members of the royal family. Ladies Day on Thursday is very popular and the most glamorous day
3 Epsom Derby Festival: The Epsom Derby, part of the festival held in early June at Epsom Downs Racecourse, is one of the most prestigious flat horse races in the world with the Derby being run on the Saturday.
4 Grand National Festival: While the Grand National, run on the Saturday, itself is the main event, the festival at Aintree Racecourse in April is a major three day fixture in the National Hunt calendar, culminating in the famous steeplechase.
York Ebor Festival: Taking place in August at York Racecourse, this flat racing festival is known for its top-quality racing and elegant surroundings.
5 Glorious Goodwood: Glorious Goodwood is a flat racing event held at the Goodwood Racecourse in late July or early August each year. It is one of the highlights of the British flat racing season and is known for its high-quality racing and picturesque setting.
