With the Grand National happening in a couple of weeks we thought this week’s blog would be about this horse racing festival.
The festival takes place every year at Aintree racecourse in Liverpool and the Grand National is the biggest National Hunt horse race in the world.
The Cheltenham Festival is less than a month away now and we at Rocket Hospitality are hoping for a more successful festival than last year where we had a combined total of two winners during the festival.
London Fashion Week runs twice a year, usually in February and September, and brings together the biggest designers in the world who all showcase their forthcoming season’s designs. It is one of the big four fashion weeks with the other three held in New York, Paris and Milan.

This week’s blog is all about El Clasico which is probably the biggest game in club football.
El Clasico is played between the two Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona. The match used to just refer to the La Liga fixtures between the two clubs but now refers to all the matches played between the two fierce rivals.
It only seems like a few weeks ago when London hosted the Olympics in what was an enthralling Olympic games played in a great spirit and the weather wasn’t too bad either! Anyway in less than two years’ time Rio de Janeiro will host the Olympics and with it being in Rio it should be a great party atmosphere.
The Six Nations rugby union tournament is held every year between England, France, Ireland, Wales, Scotland and Italy with each team playing each other once with home advantage alternating each year. Two points are awarded for a win, one point for a draw and no points for a defeat.
Australia travel to England next summer to take part in the Ashes which is the biggest test series in world cricket and England will be looking to regain the Ashes they lost in Australia last year. The venues for the 2015 Ashes series are Lords, The Oval, Trent Bridge, Edgbaston and the Swalec stadium.
The first Ashes tournament was held in 1882 at the Oval and Australia have won thirty two series, England thirty one and five series have been drawn. Don Bradman has scored the most runs with over five thousand and Shane Warne has taken the most wickets with one hundred and ninety five.
