It’s only the eighth of January but already we have the first big manager casualty of 2016 with Rafa Benitez getting sacked from Real Madrid. He lasted a mere six months and they only lost three times and had a plus forty seven goal difference in the games he managed! Former Real Madrid Galactico Zenedine Zidane, has been appointed their new manager, he was previously coaching their B team.
Real Madrid are still very much though in contention for La Liga as well as the Champions League in which the first knock out stage starts next month. With a team containing the likes of Ronaldo, Modric, Rodriguez, Benzema and Bale they will be one of the contenders for both titles. Their main challenger for both could well be their arch rivals Barcelona who are favourites for both La Liga and the Champions League. Barcelona have recently returned from the World Club Championships where they defeated River Plate to add to their array of trophies they have won over the last few years. With a forward line of Neymar, Suarez and Messi they will be causing plenty of defenders sleepless nights over the next few months and with Messi now fully fit it would be no surprise to see them being the first team to successfully defend the Champions League trophy.
If you are looking to watch Barcelona or Real Madrid we have some fantastic options to all their games at the Nou Camp and Santiago Bernabeu this season, which start from as little as £199 a match which is fantastic value when you consider the players you will see on display. We also have a few packages left for El Clasico in April in a game which could well decide who wins La Liga. We also have hotels and flights available to their home games.
In La Lique in France Paris St Germain seem to be walking away with the title. The season is only half way but they are already nineteen points ahead and remain unbeaten which will give them more time to concentrate on the Champions League, which they haven’t won before. They face Chelsea in the last sixteen who they defeated in the same stage last season. Their star player is Zlatan Ibrahimovic and he has been amongst the goals this season and will spearheading Sweden’s team in the European Championships later this year.
Paris is only a short hop on the Eurostar and we have hospitality packages to all their home games including their Champions League last sixteen game against Chelsea so if you fancy seeing the likes of Ibrahimovic do get in touch.
